On the Hunt

This last weekend we decided to escape down to my parent's home in Mesquite. Dave is going to be super busy with work and this was his last chance to get away before he is a slave to his job and we never see him. So we went down on Thursday and came home Sunday. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I left the camera in the car when we went mini-golfing and swimming. Yes--swimming! It was 80 degrees down there and of course I got sunburned again-even with sunblock. The picture above is Dave and Gage golf ball hunting. My dad has started a tradition of looking for golf balls on the golf courses surrounding there home. They have located the best holes to find balls at. So Dave loves the hunt and Gage is almost as obsessed as his daddy is!! Dave hit the jackpot this weekend and totalled 55 balls! On his first outing he got a whopping 23 balls! Most of them were really good too! Before we headed on our drive home we had to stop and look for some more balls and I think we tallied a dozen just before leaving. Golf ball hunting is not my idea of a fun time, but everyone else seems to really love it!!

We went to our first Blaze game of the season a couple weeks ago! Dave is a huge FANatic and loves to go every chance we get. We actually were given tickets on the 9th row! It was awesome! I knew that Gage loved to go to the games, but this was Bostyn's first time! He loved it and he clapped every time the crowd cheered! It was really cute to see him excited about it. By the end of the game I was standing in the hall with him. I wore my handy "Baby Tai" wrap and it was a life saver! I just strapped him on and all of his weight was held by the wrap! Thank goodness or else I would never have made it through the game!!
Gage got some cool bandanas and a really cool tatoo that he is very proud of. Ever since the game he has been obsessed with tatoos. And it just so happens that McDonalds has pirate tatoos in their happy meals...so the obsession is continuing.
For Easter Gage got a scooter from the Easter Bunny! He was really excited about it and he is getting really fast at riding it. It is a 3 wheeled scooter, so it's a little bit safer! Of course he is equiped with his Spiderman helmet and pads!
After church on Easter Sunday we decided to head over to the park and let the kids play. Bostyn and Gage did swings for at least a half hour and they were cracking up doing it!
Dave took Gage on the Big RED swing at the castle park (well, that's what we call it) Gage absolutely loved it until Dave started going too high! My stomach is a lot weaker than it used to be because I rode on it for a minute or two and I was ready to get off!
